“The mission of Paddock Road Elementary is to ensure a program of academic excellence that serves the unique needs of all learners in a positive instructional atmosphere where students are actively involved and supported by staff, family and the community.”
The mission was updated in 2013 with the help of all stakeholders; staff, students, and parents. The staff and leadership of the school have high expectations for all students; academically and behaviorally.
The school uses its daily schedule as one opportunity to embody its purpose. Third through sixth grade teachers use I/E (intervention and enrichment) time to actively involve students in their learning through passion projects. Teachers also collaborate with support staff to best meet the needs of all students through small group intervention or enrichment.
Another opportunity to embody its purpose is seen through daily practice of social skills. Staff is expected to teach all social skills to students throughout the school year. Students are recognized for safe, respectful and responsible behaviors through intercom announcements, written recognition on a bulletin board and at quarterly assemblies.
Paddock Road Elementary truly is a community. Staff and parents work together to do what is best for each child. The support that the school receives from our community is second to none.
