Westside Schools To Remain Closed For Remainder Of School Year

Posted April 2, 2020 Governor Ricketts issued an order Wednesday night requiring Nebraska schools to operate without students in buildings through May 31. With that, we now know that we will NOT be able to physically come back together this school year; Westside Community Schools will remain closed with our extended campus learning format to continue. Paddock Parade

Posted March 24, 2020.  We hope Paddock Road Elementary families will join us this Monday, March 30, 2020. Staff will remain in cars to maintain a safe distance and travel throughout the neighborhood.  Look for the route map in the email from Mr. Becker.


Andy the Armadillo Visits Paddock

Published March 6, 2020 Andy Armadillo, from Texas Roadhouse – Papillion, visited the first grade classrooms to celebrate Read Across America week. He read a story, shared high-fives and hugs, and passed out coloring sheets, crayons and book marks to encourage students to keep on reading.

2020 PBiS Incentives

Posted January 24, 2020. As part of our school wide PBIS program, all staff hand out thumbs up. A thumbs up is given to a student when they are following the three expectations (be safe, respectful, responsible) or social skills including listening, following directions, or accepting feedback. When students earn 50 thumbs up for showing expected behavior, they have the opportunity to put their photo on the thumbs up board. Three rewards are posted and…


Fifth Graders surprise Staff

Posted January 17, 2020. Mrs. Gollehon, art teacher, worked with fifth grade students to create clay portraits of every staff member at Paddock Road. Mrs. Gollehon thought it would be really great to show our appreciation for everyone that works in our buildings because it really does take a village to be able to give the best to our students every day to help them be successful.


Kindergarteners Create Their Own Song

Posted January 17, 2020. Paddock Road kindergarteners took a song Mrs. Olynyk, the music teacher, taught them in class called “Mr. Sun” and changed the words and added dance moves. They did this on their own time, outside of class. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8HACQ0f7Xk&feature=youtu.be
